Bio
Tomoki Takaku is a freeride snowboarder who has been active in the world of extreme and freeride snowboarding since the early 90’s. He has climbed and descended the highest peak in Mongolia (4,378m) and has skied many big mountains abroad, including Alaska, Siberia, and South America. He has filmed on the steep slopes of Alaska, camped on glaciers, and appeared in numerous films. Based in Niseko, Hokkaido, Tomoki has been active as a backcountry snowboard guide since 1999, leading the winter mountain skiing guide group "Powder Company Guides”. Through ski clinics and tours, he seeks to improve guests' skills and advocates safe and fun snowboarding. Tomoki is also involved in the product development for various brands, such as THE NORTH FACE. His own pro snowboard models are sold as GT and BIG FLOATER by GENTEMSTICK. He also operates the Test Center & Guide Office in Niseko Annupuri International Ski Resort. In the summer, he runs "SUPniseko," a SUP guiding service in the rivers and ocean around Niseko. In order to connect “oceans and mountains”, he also established a surfing lesson, SUP guiding, and snowboard shop by the sea in Shonan, Kanagawa in 2017.

Doing sports in the outdoor world, bliss and danger are always two sides of the same coin.

Experiences and impressions that can only be obtained "at that time, in that moment" in harmony with nature.
