Bio

I was born in 1984 in Ishigaki City​,​ Okinawa Prefecture. After graduating from Nagoya Resort & Sports College Sports Trainer Department in 2005​,​ I became a marine activity guide on Ishigaki Island and proceeded to create big beach Ishigakijima in 2010. As a local guide in Ishigaki Island​,​ I provide guides and tours that help guests learn about the history​,​ culture​,​ and customs of the region. I help guests connect with the natural environment and teach them how to bring it into their daily lives.

I'm Niini​,​ a local guide on Ishigaki Island. I've dedicated my life to learning about the nature of Ishigaki Island​,​ and its history​,​ culture​,​ and customs. I hope to provide you with an experience so you can also learn about the Okinawan lifestyle and culture.

Q: What is your most memorable experience in nature?

When I took 500 people cave diving and experience the power and awe of nature.

Q: What does nature represent to you?

Nature represents Uyafa Fuji, which translates to our ancestors in the Okinawan dialect.

Q: What has nature taught you?

To be flexible and accepting.

Q: What do you hope that people will get out of experiences with you as a guide?

That we are all connected to nature, and that you can take a piece of Okinawan culture back home.
