Bio
Masashi was born in Kyoto in 1973. In 1994, he started his career as a snowboarding instructor, and in 2006 also began giving surfing instructions. In 2010, Masashi took over a shop from the previous owner and renamed it "Good Day Snow lab." starting in 2021. Currently, during the surf season, he lives in Mizonokuchi, Shizuoka Prefecture, and during the snow season, resides in Hakuba Norikura. Masashi strives to improve his skills in conveying the joy of these activities.

I believe that taking the first step is the most important, so I provide a sea experience that beginners can find enjoyable even if it's their first time. I aim to become a gateway to the ocean, offering a carefree approach to water activities without being too focused on equipment and such.

Q: What is your most memorable experience in nature?
My most memorable experience is when I camped in the mountains of Mt. Hiburi during a backcountry skiing trip and saw the deep blue sky in the middle of the night.

It is something that provides a multitude of joys and emotions.
Q: What has nature taught you?
In order to truly enjoy it, one must align with nature and let oneself play within its bounds, rather than imposing one's own pace upon it.

I hope that people can find ways to enjoy themselves without going against nature and without being confined by equipment or other limitations.
