Chiba established Wildlife Fly Fishing Shop Nayoro in 2005 and works as a fly fishing guide in northern Hokkaido.

We specialize in fly fishing on the main stream of the Teshio River in northern Hokkaido using a raft. It is dry fly fishing in the rich nature of Hokkaido's mountain streams. Targeted trout are Itou, American trout, and rainbow trout.

Q: What is your most memorable experience in nature?
In the nature of northern Hokkaido, we can see the various activities of wild animals, but for some reason watching raptors hunt is especially unforgettable.
Q: What does nature represent to you?
A place where you can always inspire and create. It is a world of wildlife and you can be a part of it.
Q: What has nature taught you?
When fly fishing, there is so much that we can learn from nature. The changing seasons, changing weather, changing river currents, and so much more. We should not go against nature, but take it as our ally.
Q: What do you hope that people will get out of experiences with you as a guide?
The changing seasons, the world of wildlife. The river's flow and encounters with beautiful trout.
