About

Have you ever noticed that time in the outdoors gives you a different perspective on your life and work? Or are you curious if that is an experience that could await you? As a professional leadership and transformational coach, I support leaders in having just such experiences. Challenge and treat yourself to a personal retreat in Minakami. We'll start by having one preparatory coaching conversation virtually to get you clear on what you want to create through the retreat. Based on those conversations, we'll put together a program that starts from your arrival in Minakami and ends 48 hours later. At a minimum, we will have some in depth coaching conversations about the vision you want to create in your life over the next 6-12 months, and I'll give you a framework that you'll complete during our time together. Outdoor activities can range from silent hikes in the beautiful wilderness in Minakami, to challenging excursions with my local outdoor guide partners. Think less of extreme adventure, and more of an inner journey facilitated in nature. Accommodation will be in a beautiful glamping location with minimal equipment required. Please inquire about such experiences with your leadership team as well! *Please reach out before sending the booking request. <Pricing> ¥150,000 JPY Price may vary depending on if you would like to use guided adventure services as part of the experience. Please let me know if your financial situation is a barrier to participating in this experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Afternoon arrival at Jomokogen. I’ll pick you up and take you to the Adventure Partner office as a first stage of transition into the natural environment and we’ll do some visioning coaching conversations for 1-2 hours. Next, I’ll take you to the venue, the beautiful glamping site at the foot of Tanigawadake Mountain, where you can enjoy a bbq dinner, and hot springs. You’ll also have some important time alone to work on your vision. Day 2: After a delicious breakfast in the outdoors, I’ll meet you in the morning and we’ll do some coaching around the work you have done on your vision so far. Then we’ll head off for whatever adventure you have selected, which can range from an easy 1 hour walk together in the woods, to a more extensive guided activity that lasts most of the day. We’ll eat lunch locally and continue to work on your vision in the afternoon, with the goal of having it be complete by the time you leave. Day 3: On the final day, I’ll support you in consolidating whatever you have come up with in our time together. Depending on how clear you have gotten with your vision, you will leave with a full plan on how to carry out the vision over the next 6-12 months. Within a week after the retreat, we’ll have one more follow up coaching session to see how you are progressing and integrating the vision into your life.

Requirements

Physical requirements will depend on what type of adventure you choose to step into (we will discuss that in the conversations leading up to your actual trip to Minakami). You will be required to be completely open to a deep soul exploration of what you want next in your life, even if you have no idea how you will get there.

Equipment

Other than comfortable clothes and shoes for being personally responsible outdoors in variable weather conditions, specialized equipment will be provided based on whatever type of outdoor adventure you select as part of our work together.
