Itinerary
We will meet at 9:00 am at the meeting place, the Aburatsubo Outdoor Center. After changing and getting ready at the dedicated facility, we will conduct a brief safety briefing and give a lecture on basic paddling skills. We will follow up with beginners in an easy-to-understand manner.
We will paddle through Koajiro Bay, which is as quiet as a lake due to the deep inlet topography that is characteristic of the Miura Peninsula, to the Koajiro Forest at the far end of the bay. Paddling will take us to a precious area where the beautifully intact forest, tidal flats, and the sea are all in harmony.
Lunch will be served on an uninhabited private beach around Koajiro Bay. We will enjoy our own lunch time without the disturbances of busy daily life.
In the afternoon, depending on conditions, we will paddle out to the open ocean and head towards Moroiso from Aburatsubo. We will finish the tour before the afternoon winds pick up, and you can either take a shower at the facility's permanent shower or soak in the Aburatsubo Onsen, which is within walking distance.
After you have refreshed yourself by removing sweat and salt, you will enjoy a full-course outdoor meal at an outdoor restaurant with a spectacular view. The staff, who are well versed in outdoor cooking, will provide you with carefully selected delicious meat and fresh local Miura vegetables.
Upon request, you can master the art of grilling with a lecture by the staff who are experts, or you can enjoy the best BBQ style by the staff.
The combination of the private, spectacular location and a toast with beer from a local brewery or a special mojito will create a perfect moment after a hard day of paddling on the ocean.
True luxury comes after a day of sweat, salt, and being at one with nature.
