We will guide you to recommended spots for bird watching in the winter forest around Lake Utonai. This tour is for bird watching beginners. We will give you a lecture on how to use binoculars, how to look for birds, and how to take good photographs. We then will guide you to the spots where various birds visit according to the season. This tour is recommended for those who would like to start bird watching or for those who would like to observe birds in different spots once in a while.

Itinerary

Move to the trailhead: After registration at the meeting place, transfer by guided vehicle to the observation spot. (120 min) After arriving at the spot, we will give a lecture on how to use binoculars. After the preparations, we will begin the tour. (120分) Bird watching starts. (120 min) After the tour, we will return you to Chitose Station or Sapporo Station. (120min.)

Clothes: ・Ski wear or winter mountain outerwear (top and bottom) *Rental available ・Warm clothing such as a hat, gloves, scarf, etc. ・Waterproof shoes What to bring: ・Backpack (about 20 liters) ・Energy food ・About 500 ml of drinking water ・Binoculars

The meeting place is either of the following: ・Sapporo Station North Exit (in front of Family Mart) or pick-up from accommodations near the station (within 1.5km). ・Meet at Chitose Station or pick up from accommodations near the station (within 1.5 km). ・Meet at the site. Free parking is available for cars.
